Freezing my buns

Yesterday at the Halloween party I was chatting with some of the other residents of my apartment complex. One woman mentioned that she has never turned her heat on as long as she as lived here. Her husband is from Michigan (I swear to you - everyone down here is either from Michigan or is related to someone who is!) and he likes it a little chilly, and she is from Mississippi and has never found it necessary.

So of course, that is my new goal.

I just checked and Crunchy Chicken is doing her Freeze Yer Buns challenge again, so I signed up.


I have turned the heat on once so far, but it was for about an hour one morning. Since I am the one who is always freezing, it is up to me to have the willpower. Anything relying on my willpower is in trouble from the get go, so we will see. Although, last year we pledged to do 65 at night and 68 during the day... and we did it. Something about publicly stating that I am going to do something makes me stick with it.

I am going to make a "Touch me and die!" sign for the thermostat.

So to recap - I am going to try to not use my heat at all this winter.
